What Happened?
This week in CWL, two teams—Meik Kostol Be and PTS Zenafusion—were found guilty of account sharing, a direct violation of Rule 6.4 in the CWL Rulebook. After thorough investigations, the entire roster of Meik Kostol Be has been disqualified from CWL competitions, while PTS Zenafusion’s player received a ban but the rest of their team was allowed to continue.
The Investigation Process
Meik Kostol Be’s Disqualification
The first case came after Meik Kostol Be’s match against IW Berserkers when the player “APE MOTORS” raised suspicions with an exceptional jungle performance. After reviewing their main account, which was an Emerald-ranked ADC, CWL staff launched a deeper investigation.
Upon further review, it was discovered that the player was actively playing on two different accounts at the same time. After two days of discussions, the player admitted to account sharing. However, both the player and their manager attempted to convince CWL staff that the Emerald ADC account originally belonged to them.
As a result of this deception, Meik Kostol Be has been permanently banned from CWL competitions and removed from the CWL community.

PTS Zenafusion’s Player Ban
The second case involved PTS Zenafusion’s player, who was under review following their impressive performance against Sparta Katowice. During the investigation, it was discovered that the player had duo-queued with their “own” account, which indicated account sharing.
Unlike Meik Kostol Be, the rest of PTS Zenafusion’s players and management were not aware of the situation. After confirming their lack of involvement, only the player received a ban, while the team was allowed to continue in the tournament.

Tournament Adjustments
With these penalties, the Week 2 schedule of Division 1 has been updated:
- IW Berserkers and Sparta Katowice have been granted wins for their first matches and advance in the upper bracket.
- PTS Zenafusion’s Week 1 win has been revoked, and they will continue in the lower bracket.
- Meik Kostol Be has been fully disqualified. Their scheduled opponent, Divernex Rising, will receive a Bye round this week.
These changes have been applied, and the updated bracket has been published.

Final Thoughts
CWL takes fair competition and rule enforcement seriously to maintain the integrity of the tournament. While it’s unfortunate that these situations arise, rules exist to ensure a fair and competitive environment for all teams. Let this be a reminder to all participants: account sharing, smurfing, and similar infractions will not be tolerated.
